In the image shown above, I am showing what I will look like as a senior. I have chosen this image because I feel like it shows how mature I am. As you can see in the image I am sitting on a window seal. I am dressed nice with a scarf and blouse, my hair is down and I am smiling to represent happiness. The images symbolism is fall joy. You can tell it is cold outside because there is no sun, also I am wearing a scarf showing a chill in the air.
By senior year i will be the description of this picture. I am going to achieve this by getting better in school. I will study more and have complete focus in the next three years. I will be myself and not listen to what anybody else says negative things about me. I will focus on school work, keeping strong friendships and having tons of extra circular activities. I will stand up for myself like Griet did in Girl With a Pearl Earring. She had to slap Cornelia and it took a lot of courage for Griet to slap her.
To be the picture description I will need to understand everything and ask questions if I don't understand. By senior year I will have found my true friends and will keep them for the rest of my life. I will always be with my friends but will make sure to leave time for my family and my school work. I will help my family and taking care of the house like Griet did when she went to work for the Vermeer's. Griet had to go and help to make money for her family. Griet went because she loves her family and would do anything for them.
Ashley, you are such a fun person with such a fun personality! I also love how you said "I will be myself and not listen to what anybody else says...." I think that is such a big thing all of us deal with especially in high school with all the bullying and if we learn how to ignore it now our next 3 years will be so much better without a worry in the world. I also like how you tied Girl With a Pearl earring into your identity, and I think it is such a great thing for someone to be able to stand up for themselves as well as Griet did. It takes such great confidence and she proves that she has that confidence.
ReplyDeleteThose are some great points! My goals are quite similar! I also want to grow in intelligence and maturity over the next 3 years. I agree with how it took Griet a lot of courage to slap Cornelia. I still find that hard to believe! It was such an act of defiance. I have to admit, that took a ton of courage. Today, that would be equivalent of hitting one of your past bosses. Do you think it was stupid of Griet to slap Cornelia, or do you think it was an important act of defiance?

I also liked how you said to achieve this goal you were going to study more. I believe that is a very good idea to keep up in your academics! Also when you said you would keep being yourself I totally agree that is a great way to achieve your identity! Good luck and set your goals high!

ReplyDeleteI love your picture, you look beautiful! I think that the way you incorporated the outdoors through the window into the picture. I also, like that it shows that you would like to be an engineer, and that you are a creative person. I like that you have set goals, and that you have plans to achieve these plans! There is also the fact, that you will tune out all of the negative comments, and only listen to the positive comments. I think this also shows that you will be a hard worker, by the way that you said you will help around the house just as Greit did. Loved reading your blog, and don;t let go of your goals! When you accomplish why not add more?
Ashley, you look gorgeous! I think you had such strong symbolism, and loved your connection to the outdoors. You would be such an amazing engineer-you always can solve my iPhone problems!! I agree to focus on the positives in life, and keep up the great work :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a really pretty picture Ashley. I think when you are senior you will be very happy if you stay true to yourself. I think you will have great friendships through high school because you are a great friend. I believe you will be a great engineer if you keep up with the good work in school.
